Northwest Catholic High School has been named to the AP® School Honor Roll for the 2023-24 school year!
“On behalf of everyone in the AP community, congratulations to you and your colleagues,” said Trevor Packer, Head of AP and Instruction.
The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have excelled in expanding access to AP courses and supporting students on their path to college success.
“This achievement is a testament to both the students who challenge themselves academically and put in the necessary effort, and the teachers who set high expectations and help students develop new skills and confidence,” said School Counselor Mary Jo Foran.
Research shows that students who take AP courses and exams are more likely to attend college and graduate on time. Students entering four-year colleges with AP credit can accelerate their path to graduation and gain confidence for future success. Even for those who don’t earn college credit, AP coursework provides early exposure to college-level work and fosters a college-going culture.
“We know it takes a significant schoolwide effort—dedication from teachers, counselors, administrators, students, and parents—to make AP access a priority,” said Packer. “We join you in celebrating this inspiring achievement for your community. Again, congratulations! I’m inspired by your commitment and grateful for the chance to honor your success.”
