Joining the staff as the school social worker, Sara has just completed her master’s degree of social work with certification in school social work at the University of Connecticut.  She also holds a master’s degree from Northeastern University in sports leadership and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  She has served in Laurel Elementary School, as well as the REACH program in West Hartford Public Schools.   While not working, she spends most of her time with family and friends. She and her husband both grew up in Simsbury, CT, but had children (a daughter who is 9 and a son who is 8) while living in Dallas, Texas. Her interests these days include anything that gets her outside and immersed in nature and travel. She enjoys gardening, hiking, golfing, and exploring new places and cultures.
