Titles: Science Teacher Scott Fletcher has been teaching at Northwest Catholic for 34 years. His subjects include Physics, Astronomy, Geology, Meteorology, and Technical Drawing. He enjoys the creative aspect of the instructional process and delivers lessons with innovative, knock-your-socks-off demonstrations. Mr. Fletcher’s classes are hands-on and high energy with students at the center. The magic in science makes his classroom exciting, for science, which means knowledge, stimulates, invigorates, and prepares the mind, body, spirit, and imagination. Mr. Fletcher is also the Computer Club Moderator and has coached athletic teams to 9 State Championships (5 track and field, 3 golf, and 1 cross country). He is an Adjunct Professor of Physics at the University of Connecticut, a deacon at his church in Harwinton, and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2017. Mr. Fletcher earned his B.A. in Science from Southern Connecticut State College and his M.S. from the University of St. Joseph, formerly St. Joseph College. He has a wife of 25 years, two children in college, and a neurotic dog named Baxter.
